Advanced autonomous systems for the defence of India and its allies.

AI, robotics, and engineering built for national security.

01/MissionThe thesis

Mission

Argus builds autonomous systems to defend India and its allies in the conflicts to come. Machines should take the risks people once took. We design, engineer, and field robotics and AI that push capability forward and keep people out of harm’s way.

02/ProblemWhy this is needed

Problem

India’s defence industry is built to deliver a few expensive platforms over long cycles. The next war will be decided by something else: large numbers of autonomous machines, fielded fast and replaced faster. No one here is built for that. The established manufacturers cannot turn, and the newer companies are each built around a single machine with no capacity behind it. So the soldier keeps doing the job the machine should be doing.

03/DomainsWhat we build

Domains

Land

Autonomous ground systems that move, sense, and decide at the edge.

An autonomous six-wheeled ground vehicle on rough terrain at night.

Sea

Uncrewed maritime platforms for surveillance and operations at range.

An uncrewed surface vessel underway on dark open water at night.

Air

Autonomous aerial systems built for contested environments.

An autonomous tandem-rotor aircraft carrying a slung cargo container in flight at night.

Intelligence

One autonomy stack across land, sea and air, developed in-house. It runs our machines and machines we did not build, so a force operates as one picture instead of a collection of separate products.

An intel graph linking detected contacts across sensors: surface, air, and ground assets connected to a tracked threat.

ManufacturingFuture capability

The systems of the next army have to be manufactured in numbers, not assembled by hand. As our stack proves out across domains, we intend to build automated factories to match it, running the same robotics and AI we build for the field.

04/ResearchIn-house R&D
Argus Defence R&D floor: an autonomous ground vehicle, surveillance systems, and engineers at a live operations wall.

R&D is not a support function at Argus. It is the core of the company.

Research and development happens inside Argus: autonomy, robotics, and AI. Every system we build starts there.

05/OperatorForce multiplication

We make soldiers more capable in battle, without risking their lives.

A soldier’s life is the most valuable thing on the battlefield. It is too valuable to spend where a machine can stand instead. Our technology extends what a single operator can see, reach, and command: one person directing a network of autonomous systems, human judgement at the centre, machines absorbing the risk. That is how we keep Indian and allied forces ahead.
